What we collect through this site and as your distributor, why, who sees it, and how to exercise your rights.
Seed Investments ("we", "us") is an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-136455) and an IRDAI-licensed insurance intermediary at A, Superette, P No 143, E Main Rd, MGR Nagar, Pammal, Chennai 600075. For this notice we are the "Data Fiduciary" under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
When you fill a form on this site (call-back request, newsletter, calculator PDF): your name, phone number, email address, and what you told us you want to discuss. We use this only to respond to that request, to send the newsletter you subscribed to, or to send the PDF you asked for — and, where you asked for a call back, to contact you once about it.
When you become a client: KYC documents, PAN, bank details, nominee details, risk profile and transaction records, as required by SEBI, AMFI, the exchanges (NSE Invest / BSE StAR MF), the fund houses and, for insurance, IRDAI and the insurer. This data is processed to open and service your account and to meet legal obligations under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and SEBI/AMFI rules.
Calculators: the retirement income calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us unless you choose to request the PDF, in which case the inputs are included so we can produce it.
Website analytics: if analytics are enabled, we use aggregated, non-identifying usage data to see which pages are read.
Each form on this site asks for your consent before you submit it. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@seedinvestments.in; we will stop the processing that depended on it, unless we are required by law to retain the data (for example, KYC and transaction records, which SEBI requires us to keep for a prescribed period).
Only the parties needed to service your investments: the fund houses (AMCs), the exchange platforms (NSE Invest, BSE StAR MF), the registrars (CAMS, KFintech), the portfolio-reporting platform we use (Wealth Elite by REDVision), and, for insurance, the insurer. Our technology partner, Renascence Solutions, maintains this website and our internal automation and may process data on our instructions under a confidentiality agreement. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their marketing.
Enquiry data: until the enquiry is closed, and no longer than 12 months if you do not become a client. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Client records: for the period required by SEBI/AMFI/PMLA rules after the relationship ends.
Under the DPDP Act you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections or erasure (subject to legal retention), withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to hello@seedinvestments.in or to the address above. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.
Client data sits on the regulated platforms named above and on the portfolio platform, each with its own access controls. Site forms are submitted over HTTPS. Access to client records is limited to the people who work on your account at Seed Investments.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 through this site. Minor folios are opened by a parent or guardian through the KYC process.
